Ethan goes to the hospital to tell Hannah not to worry about the twins anymore. Hannah helps him, but he later goes into cardiac arrest and dies. Chris Harrington, played by Johnny Ruffo, made his first screen appearance on 1 April 2013. The character and Ruffo's casting was announced on 19 October 2012. Ruffo told Christine Sams from The Sydney Morning Herald that he had asked his agent to check out what roles were available, when the Home and Away part came up. After his first audition, he received a callback for a second audition.
Evie tries to prove everyone, including Mason that she isn't crazy, but trying to put herself in danger, so Oscar will be there to protect her. Evie befriended with newcomer Mason Morgan, when Josh lashed at him in the diner for drawing devil horns on Andy's photo on the newspaper and Evie apologize to Mason and tells him that Andy is Josh's brother. When Josh lashes and scared Evie, Matt as a good at Josh while Mason comforts her.

Evie witnessed Zac hugging a girl and was angry at him for finding a new girlfriend. But Zac said that the girl that she saw with him is Denny Miller, Ethan's other daughter and half-sister of Evie and Oscar. Oscar wanted to meet Denny, while Evie refuses and instantly dislikes her when Denny wanted to meet her at the Diner and at the house.
Evie, Mal, Ben, Uma, Audrey, and Freddie are the only characters to have solos. Evie carries a bag that resembles the Heart Box seen in the the film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, which was given to the Huntsman by The Evil Queen have to contain Snow White's heart, as proof that she was dead. According to Evie, her mother taught her how to apply blush before she could talk, and to always use upwards strokes. Considering her mother's vain nature, it's quite likely the truth.
Relationships
When Spencer Harrington is beaten, Evelyn pleads with Ethan to help her get Spencer to a hospital and away from the cult. Murray is arrested for assaulting Spencer and Ethan takes over the cult. When Kyle tries to intervene, he is hit over the head and Ethan takes Kyle with them. Oscar, Evelyn and Kyle are locked inside a shipping container.

Sasha notices Rosie talking to Natalie Davison and presumes that Rosie has problems. Rosie refuses to let Sasha stay over her house and pays Tilda Hogan to pretend to be her younger sister Hannah. She decides to run into the sea, despite not being able to swim well and Sasha has to run in and save her. However, both girls get caught in a rip and have to be saved by Casey and John Palmer . Evie decided to leave Summer Bay to go to Vietnam and asked Matt and his sister, Eloise to come with her.
Characterisation and family
That night, the girls go to Jay and Carlos' room to check on what they were doing. While they are both having fun, Mal reminds them that if they must prove to their parents that they were evil, then she asks Evie to ask her magic mirror where can they find the wand. Evie tries to get the mirror to tell them where the wand is, only for it to be vague and misunderstand her questions.

The group realizes that Ben is nowhere to be seen and Harry Hook shows up. A week later, on her wedding day, Zac gave Evie and Matt her deceased parents, Ethan and Sarah's wedding rings and Evie and Matt gets married at the farm surrounded by family and friends. The next day, Evie, Matt and Elly says goodbye to Summer Bay and left for Vietnam. Zac accepts her offer and departed Summer Bay, and moves in Vietnam with Evie. Nathaniel "Nate" Cooper, played by Kyle Pryor, made his first screen appearance on 26 September 2013. Pryor originally auditioned for the role of Andy Barrett, but Tai Hara was cast instead. However, the producers liked Pryor so much, that they asked him to return to try out for the part of Nate.
Zac offers Evie a part-time job at Summer Bay High as a teacher's ad and Evie accepts. After that, they drove Mason's new car to the Summer Bay Auto, but it was closed, since Matt hasn't arrived yet, who send a text to Mason that he'll be at the Auto in half an hour. Evie and Mason started to make out in the car, until Matt arrives. Zac asked Evie to tutor Matt's younger teenage sister, Elly, who struggles at school. That day, Matt confronts Evie for walking out on Elly, who said to him that she didn't walk away from Elly. Mason tells Matt to back off, which annoys Evie, and told him that he's sounds like Josh, her ex-fiance.

He tells Evie that he needs to go there to apologize to Mal but Evie tells him he can't go alone since he doesn't know the Isle and that she needs to come also, to which he agrees. Evie says that she will also bring Jay and Carlos with them since they aren't popular back on the Isle and it would be safer. She makes Ben promise that she won't get stuck on the Isle again. Evie's lush dark hair falls from her forehead in a striking widow's peak, and she never leaves home without her crown or her mother's approval of her appearance. Looking for the perfect prince was more difficult than she thought, but through her adventures in Auradon, Evie learned the true meaning of beauty, and that a perfect prince isn't everything.
